I suppose in the context of a cookie these were well done but hoo boy do chocolate and pumpkin make for an awful pair.

We were expecting warming spices for this pumpkin flavored treat, but there was a spicy quality that came through that we were not expecting. Wanted more sweetness, couldn’t get past it, would not do again.

These are not “pumpkin chocolate chunk”ñ these are pumpkin pie SPICE and chocolate chip. There were huge balls of ginger powder in the dough and I took out as many as I could and they were still awful. They’re not dry, though- I saw someone say they were dry and they’re not, but 0/10. They’re difficult to eat because of the taste. I am throwing them out.

I agree 100% with all the reviews that say these are just way too strong in the spice department. Such an overpowering spice mix! The chocolate chunks added nothing to this unfortunately. Also, the baking time is way off. I think the directions say 14-16 min. I baked mine for 12 min, trying to underbake a little. But they all got browned bottoms and more done than I wanted. Would not recommend and would not try a TJ cookie mix again after this experience.
