Trader Joe’s Ube Spread Reviews
Also known as ube butter.
ube puree (purple yam puree, sugar, lactic acid, water), cane sugar, butter (cream [milk], salt), cream, coconut cream, tapioca syrup, water, sea salt, natural flavor, cultured dextrose, carrageenan, vegetable juice (for color), and locust bean gum.
contains milk, coconut
Too sweet with a strong butter flavor. The ube flavor is lacking.
The sweetness is over-powering the ube flavor so you only get the ube as an after-taste. This has the sweetness more comparable to a fruit jam that is preserved in sugar. I only use it now as a sugar substitute.

I seem to be in the minority for liking this. I agree that it’s not ube-flavored enough, but it’s soo addictive and delicious to me as a dessert-y spread in general. I could eat it by the spoonful!
The first two times I tasted it, I thought it was nice, but the third time I flat out fell in love. It pairs so well with ice cream or cream cheese on toast with nuts
