I’ve tried both the mild pico de gallo and this hotter version, and in my opinion, this one is much better. It’s not super spicy to the point where you’ll need gallons of water to get it down; but just flavorful enough to have a kick.

The mild version tastes way too much like plain tomatoes without extra flavors, whereas this one is much closer to the real deal that you’ll get from good Mexican restaurants.

I came here looking for reviews after trying it. I like the taste, it’s flavorful and it does seem fresh. But in what universe is this considered hot? It wasn’t hot, like not even a little bit, there was barely any spice to it. I can’t imagine what the mild one tastes like… they should just call it “pico de gallo for white people.”

Unless your using it all in one day or for a large amount of people it doesn’t hold up well in the fridge and only last about a 4 days after purchase – Ingredients are fresh and tasty but I wouldn’t purchase again because I never finish the container fast enough

Literally just left Trader Joe’s and cracked this open on the way home and had to look at the reviews once I arrived home just to make sure there wasn’t something wrong with me. The pico de gallo isn’t terrible as long as you’re looking for something mild, medium at best but definitely not hot. I was torn between this and the “extra hot” sitting next to this on the shelf but was concerned the extra hot would be too much. Boy was I wong. Since you guys were going for a “hot” pico I had to rate it at 1 star because you failed, miserably.

  5. Singular

The quality of the tomatoes in this salsa varies by season. If you buy this during the winter, you get a flavorless salsa with anemic tomatoes. As others have said, this “hot” salsa is medium at best. It’s a decent value, so long as you don’t buy it in winter.
