I really want to like it but I don’t. It just doesn’t taste or feel like pasta to me. And it’s a shame because I love hearts of palm on their own or in a salad. And I love pasta. But this doesn’t work for me. My significant other does like it though.

This is one of those products you can’t expect to come close to pasta. That said, many people seem to complain about smell and flavor out of the bag. Please rinse the product before use -it takes the edge off. Since it’s not very flavorful and has a more of an acidic profile to it I use it with sauces that are fresh and light. Stay away from cream sauces it just has no place there. Think of tomato, capers, and olives type of ingredients for it. Keep it in a tangy profile and you might like it. I love it. I think it’s a great substitute and unique.
