Dense chocolate cake with chips in the cake as well. The frosting was weak but I was not the one who frosted the cake. It seemed way too stiff to have it run down the sides like the box front. In the future I would buy it again but would doctor it up for a nice presentation and flavor. Probably a chocolate ganache or something that will cascade better down the sides

The cake looked attractive but is was dry without a much flavor. There wasn’t a lot of icing so you can’t make it look like the photo on the box. I won’t buy it again.

This was the worst cake I have ever had. After the first bite, I went digging in the trash for the box to see if it was gluten-free or expired. I will never buy this again, nor do I recommend anyone try it.

Worth every penny – perfectly moist, rich and chocolatey.

This was the best cake I have ever had. After the first bite, I went digging in the trash for the box to make sure I buy the same cake again. I will buy this again, as soon as possible and I recommend that anyone must try it.

I’ve been baking and winning awards at baking contests and county fairs for most of my life. I love cake. This was an awful, miserable, terrible cake. Sorry TJ’s, someone missed the mark on this one. It’s not bittersweet – it’s bitter. To the degree of tasting medicinal, not like a dessert. Again – It’s bitter, dry, crumbly and really, really bad. I’m throwing it in the trash, and I won’t be checking the trash again to look at it again, for ANY reason. Or wait – maybe I will!! I’m going to bring it back to the store for a refund. Even the sweet icing couldn’t fix this disaster in the slightest, or offset the poorly balanced chocolate to sugar ratio in the cake. So remember – if you love dry, very, very bitter cake, rush out and buy this immediately.

I agree with others. Trader Joe’s missed the mark on this one. Frosting is horrible and clumpy (and yes I warmed it up per instructions); cake dry and crumbly. Not a good Bundt cake at all.

Worst cake ever. This is embarrassing to have Trader Joe’s name on it. Horribly dry, crumbly. Not a good flavor. It needs to be pulled off the shelf now.
