LOVE this creamy, comforting soup. Love at first bite after sampling it a our TJ’s. I usually do not like these “container soups” because so many out there lack flavor, or contain unhealthy ingredients, therefore I was pleasantly surprised to try this treat. I like to serve it with a swirl of cream, and a salad or sandwich for a fast, delicious dinner.

Wow, it’s like they replaced sodium with a chemical alternative. This chemical taste covers up the tomato and ruined my mouth for the entire night. Even my wine tastes terrible after a bite of this nasty low sodium version of my favorite soup. Do yourself a favor and buy the full sodium version. If you need to cut back on salt, just eat less. One bite of the full sodium version will be more satisfying than an entire bowl of this nasty low sodium version… especially since I can’t imagine anyone WANTING a full bowl of this atrocity.

I usually buy the Pacifica Roasted Red Pepper and Tomato soup. The TJ soup is awful…I added salt since it’s low sodium and nope. Dumped 2 containers down the drain.

Interesting. I disagree about the chemical taste. I am a soup person and it is actually very hard to find such good-tasting low-sodium soups outside of TJ. I pretty much go to TJ’s for the soup, and I think I bought $50 worth of this and the low-sodium butternut squash soup the last time I went. By the way, this soup is very good with some TJ’s blackened frozen corn heated up in it.

I actually looked up reviews to find out if I had bought a bad batch or not. It does have a terrible aftertaste and I can see that why the other review said it was chemical tasting. I asked my wife to try it and she thought something was horribly wrong with it and that it had gone bad and grabbed it away from our toddler. The package says 2023 though.

This soup is excellent and I’m definitely a soup person- flavorful and and about the best roasted pepper and tomato soup on the market and I’ve tried a lot of them- I go to Trader Joe’s just for this and it’s over 50 miles- definitely try with a dollop of sour cream – yum
