bright, light vinaigrette – not overpowering or overly sweet, tender baby kale leaves with the crunch of radicchio are the base to this salad. The very best part are the dates – they are so good, I would buy them on their own! Sadly there is what looks like one minced date for 4 people to fight over. I can see the help seeds, but they don’t add any extra crunch or flavor, the almonds are the texture in the salad. We will buy this again, it is our new favorite bagged salad. Now that I know that hemp seeds are not noticeable, I will also buy more TJs products that contain them. This might just be my family, but bagged salads smell badly, this salad was not an exception. So I always rinse them again so they don’t have that old vegetable smell. The bag of greens is generous size so the prie is very fair. To make this a five star product, it just needs more dates to counter the other flavors.

I’m not much for bagged salad, but this one caught my eye and I decided to purchase a bag and give it a try. It was FABULOUS ! It held up very well (with dressing) for a second day without getting soggy. I even made two 30 minute drives back to the store that same week in hopes of getting more. Oh yum, I was on a mission. On my second unsuccessful trip, a nice employee checked to see when more was expected to arrive. I was very disappointed to learn it had been a seasonal item and was now being discontinued. Truly one of the best salads I’ve ever enjoyed, I would compare it to a specialty salad at a higher end restaurant, so so good. Can’t wait for the Fall in hopes this one returns.
