A hearty and tasty lunch, whether you’re vegetarian or not. The only drawback is that the lasagna takes about 10 minutes to cook in microwave.

  2. Shapey Wilson

very good. Pretty healthy for how good it tastes.

  3. Lena

This was good, but I felt like there was too much spinach.

The heating instructions are way off! On the packaging it says to heat in a conventional oven bake at 375 degrees for 35-40 minutes. I put it in for 40 mins and it was still frozen! I put it back in the oven for another 15 minutes and it was still cold. Then I put up the temp to 400 degrees and cooked it for another 15 minutes and eventually it was perfectly cooked – that’s 1 hr and 10 minutes!
I have had similar issues with other TJs frozen meals. The heating times need to be re-reviewed and revised!! Very misleading.
The dish itself is ok. I like the amount of spinach in it, makes it a very healthy diner choice for my kids. But the spinach mixture could be a little tastier – it’s fairly bland. We all preferred it with lashings of parmesan cheese and garlic infused olive oil drizzled on top.

Not the best, but a good option! It is a little bland and I agree that there is a lot of spinach (but its healthy!) I always keep one in the back of the freezer for a quick meal on the go

A big bowl of spinach. That’s it. So if you like that, all good. I don’t. Disgusting.

This is an older TJ’s item and I have been enjoying it for years. The spinach makes me feel like I am eating healthy!
It does take a while to cook this in the oven – for me 50 minutes in a 400 degree oven. I don’t mind though.

I had the same problem as Helen Fraser, May 9, 2016. Thought my oven must have died, but checked oven temperature and it is accurate. Finished cooking in microwave–about 5-6 minutes at 50% power, then stand for 3 minutes, after 38 minutes in 375 conventional oven. Also agree with comments about blandness of spinach. Now I remember why I rarely buy this product.

My daughter is a new vegetarian and I have struggled to find dishes that the whole family can enjoy together without fixing her something different every night. This is a new favorite for everyone in the fam. Really tastes delicious–not bland at all, not runny/soggy. I love the amount of veggies to pasta ratio. I do add more cheese on top toward end of baking because CHEESE!!! Also did have to cook for 50 min.

oh, yeah, this is for spinach lovers of which i am not one. this is the first spinach lasagna i’ve had that was REALLY a spinach dish: on top there’s nice cheese, a noodle, a little red sauce … and underneath, piles and piles of beautiful bright green spinach, mixed with little white bits – presumable ricotta? — and like one more noodle. lasagna to me is CHEESE. but, hey, it’s trader joe’s so next time i get the tortellini. eh? 🙂

I love spinach lasagna but this product is horrible. It’s like they took a 10 oz. package of frozen spinach and packaged it between 2 noodles. Hardly any sauce, cheese or actual flavor. Yuck. This product definitely needs a reformulation.

  12. Cindy Milton

Too much spinach; not enough ricotta, barely any sauce, and very little cheese. It all equates to a bland combination. I won’t purchase this item again unless they tweak the recipe. Also, the cooking time for this product in a conventional oven was an hour, not 35 to 40 minutes.

I love the spinach lasagna from Trader Joe’s ! It is perfection ~

Bland and boring and oddly watery. Disappointing.
