I had seen others (like on the Trader Joe’s subreddit) talk about loving these, so I got them to try. I wasn’t too excited because grocery store shelf-stable cinnamon buns tend to be pretty dry, but I wanted to see how these were. Unfortunately, they were about exactly what I expected. I tried them heated up in the oven, and also just out of the box. Just eating them out of the box they weren’t even worth eating at all to me lol. Bad texture (dry) and not very flavorful. Also, the cream cheese frosting – whether heated or just eaten out of the box – came across very sharply tangy and cream cheese-y; not on the more smoothly flavored side as far as cream cheese frosting goes.

When heated up, the bun itself was better – mainly the very middle part where most of the cinnamon was. Of course the very middle of a cinnamon bun was always the best, but even after being heated it was really the only part worth eating at all to me with these.
