In my 80 + years I’ve had steaks in all the famous Chicago and other U. S. city steak houses. Steaks from Rhodesia in Europe.
Purchased (usually so-called prime) in top grocery stores. It’s
not possible to compare a great steak dinner from years ago
with one from a few hours ago, but I will tell you this. I don’t
remember having a better filet mignon steak than any purchased
at Trader Joes Tucson store. Have been enjoying them since
moving here almost two years ago. Same great taste and quality
    each and every time.

Better than any filet I’ve had in a long time, either home cooked or from a high end restaurant! Usually buy filets from Costco, but really don’t like to have to buy a package 4 or 5. The package of 2 from TJs is perfect and they are delicious!!!! TJs is now my go to place for these filets.

We have been eating the center cut filets for years. Every one has been perfect. So perfect that I joked with a TJ manager once that they have to be fake, manufactured meat! We had 2 tonight for New Years Eve, 2021 prefect, perfect, perfect. Delicious.

Trader Joe’s has the best Filet Mignon! We don’t eat steak at restaurants hardly ever since I started cooking these. So much better quality than most restaurants.

Really very good. Not strongly flavored – filet isn’t – but all meat, no fat, very tender, tasty, and a very nice cut, 1.5″ thick, which meant I could cook them sous vide. It was our dinner for Valentine’s Day this year – expensive but a good choice.

The steaks I’ve purchased in the past have been great. The ones I just purchased are weird. They were in my refrigerator for two days and when I went to make them, they were frozen! Nothing else in my fridge was frozen, we put them out a little while then back in the fridge so they defrosted. Freeze dried? Not sure how they stayed frozen so long!
