  1. Stacey

These meatballs tasted and smelled so off they turned my stomach. Do not recommend.

  2. Maggie

Agree with Stacey above. I bought them for a quick protein, but the smell and taste are… not great. Maybe they’re okay with spaghetti sauce, but they were not good by themselves.

The meat balls are made with, most likely, with old turkey meat. The flavor of the meatballs is really bad, I took a bite and had to spit it out. The sauce I had made was ruined because it tasted like the balls. Btw, this is my very first bad review I have ever done.

They are not good. They definitely taste like they are made with old meat. Probably the worst thing I have ever purchased at Trader Joes.

Probably the worst meatballs i’ve ever tasted.

  7. Alan

I have to agree with everyone else. These are the worst Trader Joe’s product ever. Horrible flavor and it ends up ruining the entire dish. The regular meatballs are fine, but these are truly disgusting.

I can’t get over the smell of these. That should have been the indicator not to try. They’re TERRIBLE!!! Trader Joe’s please get a better product!!

I got the smell of these on my hands(after washing them twice) and couldn’t get it off. Horrible smell, even worse taste. By far, the worst meatballs I have had. I felt almost worroed giving them to my dog. Oh, and I am a loyal Trader Joe’s fan.‍♀️

  10. LC

These were absolutely disgusting. Tasted rancid.

Totally agree with everyone – these mealy putrid balls of meat are gag inducing. This was the first time I actually returned food to a grocery store – they were that bad.

  12. Namz

    Agree to everyone else

  13. Charlotte

Disgusting! Worst tasting meatballs – ever! Stunned that they are even being sold.

  14. Frank

Nothing good to say. These meatballs shouldn’t be classified as food.

  15. Spencer

They taste and smell wrong. My wife and I took a bite at the same time and looked at each other. Ruined the pasta we made. They taste like raw food for being fully cooked. Smells like metal. I can’t believe these are still being sold after reading all these reviews. Gross!

Has there been a change because we used to eat these regularly. I threw the last bag out, but the next one was no better. The meat has a frost bitten? Metallic? Taste. Expect better from TJs.

    Not good.
Also -‘combine with sauce and heat for 20 minutes’?? 20’whole minutes?? On stove top? On what – high heat, low heat? Either way all that happens is completely dried up sauce

Anyway yeah they taste like cardboard. Don’t do it.

Just piling on. I hate these with a burning passion. Do not buy.

Edible but just so. Weird taste. One of the ingredients is “spices”. Really? My wife says anise. We smothered them in tomato sauce after convecting them. Throwing out the leftovers. Yuck.

  20. Patricia

I cannot even believe these Turkey Meatballs are a Trader Joe’s product. They are far and away the worst thing I’ve ever bought there. The Turkey Meatballs are shockingly terrible. BTW, I love Trader Joe’s!

One start is too much… these are disgusting. They taste like plastic and chemicals. Ruined our entire meal.
