Trader Joe’s Strawberry, Pumpkin, and Cherry Pomegranate toaster pastries are really disappointing.
The crust is sort of reminiscent to that of a stale, flavorless biscuit. The jelly’s ok, but the crust is so unenjoyable that I never buy them.
These however, are delightful. The crust tastes kind of like a chocolate animal cracker. It has a glaze of marshmallow flavored icing, and is filled with chocolate goodness. These are better than regular Pop Tarts in my opinion.
Of course, my Trader Joe’s seems to have stopped carrying them. They only have them in the wintertime, but it’s been a few years since I’ve seen them at my store.
If these sound good to you and are available at your store, you should absolutely grab a box. Or maybe 2.
