These are delicious! I always thought panettone looked/sounded gross whenever I would see it in stores; like the stereotypical fruit cake that was the butt of jokes in the 90s and earlier. I got curious enough to finally try this mini version. Wow, I’ve been missing out! The texture was super flakey and almost like croissant-like, and the flavors of the fruit pieces in it went really well with it. I basically gobbled it down, and now I want more! Sorry, panettone, for doubting you all these years!

I’m personally not a fan. It’s just a sweet bread and I find it kind of dry. It always looks so appealing at Christmas time but then I remind myself that the box is cute but the item inside is unremarkable. I’d only buy this as a gift for someone I don’t know that well. The presentation is cute.
