I know this isn’t very authentic at all, but in terms of taste itself, I like it! It’s great for cold weather, very warming and filling especially for the amount of calories (around 250 total). The textures go well together, the spice level is nice, and it has a satisfying mix of ingredients and flavors.

  2. Recia

This was very bland. I didn’t expect it to be very authentic, but I figured that would be ok if it tasted good. But it didn’t taste good. It needed salt. And I didn’t like the black rice.

  3. DCofEC

For how much sodium is in it I think it’s slightly bland. The protein count is a little low for my liking but not terrible. I added 2 Large eggs and a tiny bit of everything but the bagel seasoning. Definitely want to watch your salt intake for the rest of the day after eating this.

  4. Peter Ryan

A nice blend of hot, sour, and pungent. Healthy, tasty, and comforting.

  5. Potatobear

It is the wrong mixture of flavors. This is trash that gives you gas.

  6. Shauna

A whole lot of sodium for very little flavor. It’s filling, great flavor pairings, and fairly healthy but the flavor is lacking for how much sodium is in it.

  7. Jose

One of the worst things I’ve ever tried. Tasted like straight sugar, and the rice is unnecessary. Took two bites and dumped it in the trash. BCD tofu house would like to have a word with Joe.

  8. Ravi

it would make a good soup if it was not sweet. Why does it need sugar? You can barley taste Kimchi. remove sugar and include a spice packet for people that want it spicier.

  9. Kana Wan

This was really good. It didn’t taste sugary and it the soup has a good kick to it. I loved it!

  10. David Downey

Think of this as a Korean hot & sour kimchee soup then you won’t be disappointed. I really enjoyed it.

  11. Sharon

I really liked this, I topped it off with a tablespoon of nutritional yeast and it gave it a nice balance while boosting the nutrition/vitamins!

  12. Ashlee

I think this soup is absolutely delicious and very low calorie. It’s surprisingly filling with the black rice and quite spicy! I’m definitely going back for more.

  13. Jason Costa

Absolutely disgusting. I took one bite and threw out the rest.

  14. Madeline

I love tofu, I love kimchi, but this soup was average at best. It’s spicy, but the seaweed flavor still comes across stronger than the kimchi.

  15. NYC Vegan

We couldn’t eat it. It tasted so bad that we threw it out. Thankfully we took a pic and showed it to a store manager and got a refund.

  16. Christine Thacker

I thought it had gone bad. This is not Korean at all, except it has kimchi in it. It’s weirdly sour and the tofu is mushy and tiny. Skip this one: it’s not good

  17. Anonymous

This was pretty good not sweet at all, more vinegary like hot and sour soup. Did need some salt. Was slightly spicy but not too much – if you like it really spicy you might be disappointed.

  18. Andrea

Bland, too sweet and very little kimchi. The mushrooms overpower other flavors and the rice makes up half the dish.

  19. Changook

please dont buy this i have been pooping for the past 2 days straight

  20. Edward

This is pretty gross. I’m going to finish it because it’s all I brought for lunch. I’m not sure what it’s supposed to be but it does not taste like any Korean dish I’ve had. Watery, mealy, minimal heat and pungent sourness.

  21. Nellie

Garbage. This is probably the worst dish I’ve had from TJ’s.

  22. Dogman10987

Not too bad really. I can’t understand why so many people have trashed this. It’s hearty, there’s a mild sweetness but not overwhelming, and it has black rice, mushrooms, tofu and kimchi thick enough that it could be considered a stew more than a soup.

  23. Veronika

Edible but gross. Strangely sweet and sour but at the wrong times. Do not get this. I repeat. Do not get this.

  24. Monkey 46

Terrible. Too salty. Unlike other TJs concoctions a terrible idea.
