I’m disappointed. I found this tiramisu to be far too soggy on the bottom and bitter from the coffee. I can’t even taste the marsala, possibly because the coffee overwhelms it. I’ve had quite decent frozen tiramisu from a grocer in Italy but this doesn’t meet that mark, sadly. Two stars only because it is better than the previous tiramisu torte.

I absolutely love tiramisu and have had some from many different places and this is by far the worst. It was drowned in coffee, I couldn’t even taste the mascarpone because it was so overpowering. Not to mention it was pretty soggy and had coffee leftover on the bottom, and there is so much cocoa powder on these things that it coats the entire inside of the bag and makes a huge mess when opening and you’ll have to put it on a plate. Extremely disappointing, never will eat it again.

KK’s review above says it all. Absolutely no improvement in the 2024 iteration of this dessert. I will add that the coffee tastes burnt and too low quality to justify there being so much of it, and the texture is atrocious.

I like that it’s not too sweet. Yes, the bottom was a bit soggy, but I rather eat a soggy bottom than a sugary dessert. If you want it to be less soggy, eat it when it’s not completely thawed, which is around the 5th hour of thawing. The cocoa powder is unsweetened, so it makes it bitter. But, I eat unsweetened chocolate, so the bitterness doesn’t bother me. For those who don’t like bitter chocolate, this is not for you. And yes, the cocoa powder makes it messy to eat. But, it’s not a big deal for me.

The best! I’ve been addicted to these for a few months, it’s December 2025 , and I was looking up the nutritional value… Surprisingly it has 11 g of protein, it’s a real food… A significant amount of calcium, iron, potassium, and vitamin D. It’s not sickly sweet like childish desserts, this has a adult sweet , I love the heavy dusting of cocoa powder, I just put it on a saucer and eat with a spoon. I like the espresso and marsala wine, soaked ladyfingers, when you take a bite with both the creamy layer and the soaked sponge cake like ladyfingers… It’s just harmonious. Also, the cream layer is very high-quality, you can taste the dairy. Goodness, very high-quality cream… The ingredients are natural simple and I’m surprised it only has 21 g of sugar for such a large serving… I’ve tried to cut it in half and save the other half for the next day but it’s just so good… I will be sad when it’s gone, but we’ve had a good run…. I hope they keep it permanently!

We served these at a holiday dinner party (served in lovely Eve glass coupe’s) (I trimmed the corners off while still semi frozen and popped them in the goblets – and used the all the extra corners to fill a few coupe glasses to. It’s my favorite dessert from Trader Joe’s so far, and I’ve tried all of them.excellent sophisticated flavors and they taste best at room temperature or only slightly chilled. We love this version , it’s tastier than the previous TJ’s tiramisu torte.
