“Hint of peppermint” is more like a punch in the face of peppermint. Also, it doesn’t taste like peppermint. It’s more akin to toothpaste or chewing gum. I love peppermint chocolate, but this does not taste like peppermint chocolate.

Not one of Trader Joe’s best hot chocolate mixes but somehow it keeps coming back year after year and I fall for it because the tin looks so cute. The chocolate mix is chalky and tends to not melt very well, with most of the chocolate sludge sitting at the bottom of your mug. The mint also overpowers the chocolate and the taste just isn’t very balanced. Perhaps this would work better if you use an electric frother to really really try to break up the powder and make it melt, but it’s a lot of work for a flavor that’s just so banal.
