“The name’s a mouthful, but Trader Joe’s and the Astounding Multi-Flavor Joe-Joe’s is a foodie’s paradise. You’ve got a tried-and-true product in the Joe-Joe cookie (TJ’s version of Oreos) covered in various chocolate with all sorts of toppings and flavorings
Yum City! The four varieties are:

Peanut Butter (in milk chocolate with a dark chocolate drizzle)
Double Chocolate (in dark chocolate with a milk chocolate drizzle)
Peppermint (in dark chocolate with peppermint sprinkles)
Ginger (in white chocolate with ginger snap sprinkles)

First up is Peanut Butter. It was hard to imagine Trader Joe’s going wrong here with chocolate + peanut butter, but this cookie is superb. The peanut butter permeates the entire cookie sandwich, and the creamy element that defines a refined milk chocolate really stands out. The quality of the peanut butter itself is also excellent. For whatever reason, I was expecting a stiffer peanut-butter flavored creme, like something a traditional Oreo might have. But this peanut butter was really smooth and creamy.

Next up is Double Chocolate. This sounds the most boring of the bunch, but never count out Trader Joe and his ability to deliver on otherwise mundane formulas. The flavor is “double chocolate in dark chocolate with a milk chocolate drizzle,” and while I’m not sure the cream itself is a combination of two chocolates or just twice the dosage of one, it doesn’t matter. This cookie is great too.

Peppermint: These cookies have a creamy, peppermint center that’s studded with shards of candy canes, sandwiched between two chocolate peppermint wafer cookies. Then the whole damn thing is sprinkled with more candy canes. The textures are the most fun yet, with the crunchy candy cane bits adding lots to love.

he Ginger cookie is the only one covered in white chocolate, and it also contains ginger sprinkles.

Aaaand I have a new favorite cookie. The spices in this one are divine – the ginger prevalent without being overpowering. On the sweet side, we have plenty of molasses, brown sugar, and white chocolate that orchestrate a symphony of flavors that blend together in concert. The spice is what I love most, but the white chocolate imparts a sweet vanilla creaminess that really takes this cookie to the next level.”

Wildly colorful and a reference to Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat in the name.
