The best mac and cheese hands down, and this is coming from someone who doesn’t even like mac and cheese. Perfect amount of cheese and creamy butternut squash. I just wish it was available for more than a few weeks in the fall because it sells out quick.

Yum! This is one of my top seasonal favorites. I usually buy 5 and save them. It’s creamy but not too thick…it isn’t pasty at all. Very nice flavor and pasta isn’t soggy.

Buy it when you see it cuz the next time it’ll be gone! Mix it up till the sauce is nice and thick and coats the macaroni, then dig in, and be prepared to be hit by a truckload of cheese and aromatic spices! Delish!

Tried it; it was okay but not great. Search for recipes and you can make butternut squash Mac and cheese that it lots better.

Nope… Could not get past the first fork full. Trader Joe’s Butternut squash ravioli is MUCH better!

  7. Sorry TJ’s. This ought to be a top 10 seasonal item but not this year…

They changed the recipe. It’s more spicy than herby. :/
Granted it’s a mild spicy but what made the butternut squash mac and cheese so delicious that it sold out for years was the harmony of herbs and spices mixed with cheese. It took plain mac and cheese to the next level.
This box I had the cheese tasted mild but creamy and each bite had that mild spicy kick that I didn’t like.
Explains why there’s still boxes and boxes in the freezer isle in December.

This year I tried baking it in the oven. You have to take it out to stir halfway then bake it for another 10 mins or so.
The pasta was crunchy on top and soggy in sauce. Not really worth the time or electricity.
If I do ever buy this again (in hopes they listen to customers to bring back the old recipe) I’ll stick to microwaving it.
