I do not know if this is the pure stevia or not as the bottle doesn’t state the ingredients. Also, it is probably highly processed, considering the amount and the price of the bottle. I was a chemist for several years, so I know that even if something was processed with alcohol, which this probably was (it’s one of the cheaper solvents), that the alcohol evaporates off. If it changes the molecular structure of the extractant, then it changes the molecular structure and the extractant’s name changes. Not so with this product as far as I can tell. It is stevia. I believe stevia has been a notorious substance to extract easily in the past. A way has obviously been found or such large quantities wouldn’t be sold. So, based on what seems to be the case, that the product is indeed pure stevia, I will continue. The taste – sweet, very sweet. I have a strong sweet tooth which has gotten worse since my body now has diabetes. However, this does it for me – 1 to 2 scoops (scoop provided) in a cup of coffee and it is plenty sweet for me. Easily dissolves especially in warm to hot liquids. Normal use is probably 1 scoop per 8oz of liquid. No aftertaste that I can tell. Costs atm about $7 and is worth the price. The bottle that I have will last me for quite a while.
