Our package had a warning on the outside saying it may contain shells. Yes, our package had shells. Not as an occasional thing but more as an added ingredient for extra crunch. Check carefully at unpacking before blindly making a crab salad or spreading on something! Sharp shell shards make this tasty crab something to avoid.
