Had a sample. Pretty sweet (8/10) thick frosting. Frosting should be cut by 75% or leave it out. It’s not very good and is not necessary. Cake is kinda moist.

I love Trader Joe’s mini sheet cakes in general. They’re usually the best grocery store cakes I’ve ever had, and honestly sometimes even comparable to fresh baked from bakeries. But for me, this one isn’t nearly as good as the other flavors. Both the frosting and the cake itself weren’t as good. The frosting on all of TJ’s sheet cake flavors is always very thick and sweet and sometimes overwhelming, but usually I still love the flavor in moderation. In this case, the strawberry frosting had a really artificial-y taste to it, almost like fruity cereal type of vibe. Not that I expected it to taste like a basket of fresh organic strawberries lol, but that fake fruity taste wasn’t very appealing to me.
The cake itself was also less moist than the other flavors, but that could have just been the specific batch I got. It was still somewhat moist and enjoyable to eat, but I would definitely recommend trying the other flavors before this one, even if you’re a strawberry fan.
