I’m very surprised at how good these are! I was curious how they would compare to the similar looking Pillsbury pumpkin cookies. I actually think those ones (the Pillsbury) are pretty bad – tasteless and not a good texture. So I wasn’t expecting too much from these, but I wanted to try for comparison. Happy to report that these are actually nothing like the Pillsbury ones – they’re SO much better! They taste so much more like regular delicious soft sugar cookies. Yum!

Also, my wife inexplicably likes the Pillsbury kind. I had her try a bite of one of these (without saying what I thought of them first), and she didn’t like them. She said “they taste nothing like the Pillsbury ones!” So from people who both like and dislike the Pillsbury ones, these aren’t a dupe taste-wise!

As for the design, very cute when in cookie dough form, but after being heated in the oven it didn’t exactly retain that much of it’s exact pumpkin look. Still, more than fine with me – the taste is so good!
