Meh. This isn’t disgusting, but it doesn’t hold a candle to what “real” Channa Masala tastes like at an Indian restaurant. I know my standards sound high, but TJ’s Butter Chicken and Chicken Tikka Masala are so delicious and authentic-tasting that it just makes this one more disappointing.
I also think it would have been better if they included rice on the side, like they usually do with their Indian dishes.

we use this as a base – zap it, put in a pan, add some chopped tomatoes, garam masala, cumin – just kick it up a bit – serve over rice. Pretty darned good!

Channa masala keeps getting worst, today was the ultimate the channa we’re not cooked almost raw. Past purchases were with burnt masala, but today it made it not edible. What is going on at Trader Joe’s the quality keeps getting worst. Two weeks ago I bought bread and next morning found it has fungus. I am more than 10 year exclusive buyer or Trader Joe’s for quality and health of the foods but for last 3 months everything is going downhill, I am in Orange County california please look into what is happening in your organization seems you are cutting corners like everyone else . Horrible
